Huh...first post?
Anyway, I liked the episode in general; it covered most (if not all?) of the major plot points that I can remember from the latter half of volume 2.
Spoiler for Episode 6 Spoilers:
It's true that I was a little disappointed about the non-inclusion of the "trap the stalker" chapter, but the way they bypassed it was fairly believable and not at all difficult to stomach. (In effect, what happened in the novels was that Ami didn't go running after the stalker like she did in the anime; instead, some stuff happened and then Ryuuji, Minori, Taiga, and Kitamura set up a plan where they would try to capture the stalker or something [I don't remember exactly], but then Minori has to go to either work or softball practice [again, I don't remember which], and Taiga and Kitamura end up stuck in a ditch somehow; the end result, though, was pretty much the same as what happened in this episode [Ami smashing the guy's camera and scaring the shit out of him, and then the scene in Ryuuji's house, though in the novel both Kitamura and Taiga were present and, if I remember correctly, Yasuko was as well].)
EDIT: But yes, yangire Ami is win. ^_^ ("Yandere" would only apply if the craziness was related to a love interest. Examples of yandere: Kotonoha and Sekai from
School Days. Example of yangire: Ryouko Asakura, from
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Note that, just as "tsundere" has become vaguely defined these days, "yandere" and "yangire" are also somewhat vaguely defined. I'm simply going by what I picked up in various places on the internet, such as the TVTropes wiki and so forth.)
