Spoiler for For Space:

Name: Ureha Masami
Birthday: November 24 MC 0048
Age: 27 (as of MC 0075)
Rank: Chief Warrant Officer
Mage Rank: A
Magic System: Neo-Belkan
Gender: Female
Spoiler for “Personality”:
Quiet and reserved, Masami is the type of girl who will prefer to sit on the side and let others squabble and exhaust themselves before speaking. The same can be said about her method of leading teams that often bicker and argue amongst one another, as she will let them wear themselves thin before stepping in and take charge.
In any setting, regardless if it’s military, formal, casual, or even dating, she does not like to talk. It does not make her anti-social; however, it is her strong preference to let others speak. She enjoys listening to others regale in various stories and situations they have experienced, occasionally lending her opinions and thoughts on the matters from time to time. That is something that a lot of people take time to get used to, but once they do, many find that she can also be that shoulder to lean on, or even be someone they can go to for counselling.
Spoiler for “History”:
Born on November the 24th, MC 0048, Masami was the daughter to a device scientist, and an Air Force mage. Like any child in a military family, she did not get to see her parents often, especially her mother who was on active duty for months at a time. However, unlike most, she had the stability of set home, due to the fact her father was stationed at one particular base, securing the fact that she could have a town she could call home. Her school life was like any child: she would go to school, learn from the teachers, and meet and play with other children her age.
When she was two, she had been given bracelet by her father. To this day, she was thankful that she wore that bracelet. What was a special treasure that she promised to take care of so long as she lived, turned out to be the saviour of her life. One day when she was 10, she was returning home from some shopping at a nearby store. Unfortunately due to technical difficulties, an airship was attempting an emergency landing onto the road, but lost control, hurtling it straight forward into Masami. To this day, she does not fully understand why, but in that moment, the bracelet that she wore, revealed itself to be a device, immediately deployed its Barrier Jacket protecting Masami from most of the impact. Although injured, she had walked away from it alive.
Utterly thankful for what her device did, which she later learned to be named IXA, she immediately started to learn how to use IXA properly, from whatever time her father could spare to teach her, who was part of the project that developed the IXA, as far as she knows. It was also around this point in her life that she enrols into the TSAB Academy, where she graduated in MC0060. At age 12, however, there was only so much a child could do, and thus only reached the rank of Sergeant, where she stagnated somewhat in the Air Force, as there had been little to no activity during this period. During this time, she took the time to continue to use IXA in secret, by her father’s expressed orders which he refused to explain for her safety, which she never question, learning and honing her skills. In addition, she also took this time to learn counselling, at her mother’s insistence and recommendation.
Her rise in her career came about around the same time as the Aces rose in the ranks, with the introduction of Neo-Belka. Immediately enrolling into a class that taught it, she found that the system was more to her calling compared to the Mid-Childa system. With the switch of systems, she quickly rose up in the NCM (non-commissioned member) ranks, eventually reaching Chief Warrant Officer, at the age of 26.
It was also around that time she was asked to assist in looking over, and possibly revising the training program for the Neo-Belka classes. And now, a year later she teaches in the Academy along side Ace Captain Takamachi Nanoha.
Spoiler for “Device”:
Device Name: IXA
An ancient Belkan Device, the IXA system was originally classified as a Lost Logia. However, upon further study of the device itself, the antechamber it had been stored in, and the surrounding ruins, it was discovered that its system was akin to that of a standard TSAB Device, possibly an Intelligent Device. Unsure of how to proceed with its research, the device was relegated to the Masked Rider Project, which at that time researching and developing the device Kiva. Most of the design and technical history regarding this device, however, was found to be destroyed or fragmented beyond recovery. Whatever current information that is available, is found from present research material.
Initial attempts to Set-up the Device had been difficult, as the method to use Belkan magic was long forgotten, and the development of Neo-Belkan had yet to be in full motion. The end result was to use a proxy, in the form of the cartridge system. By compressing a fair amount of magic, it was hoped that it would be enough to force-activate the device. The experiment worked, after expending approximately 5 or 6 cartridges. Work was immediately put into learning how to operate the device, and how to access, and modify its systems. Further into its research, it was discovered that it had an extremely limited sentience, but had a powerful program writing capabilities, matching that of Kiva. It was decided that the Fustle system would be integrated into IXA, along with enhancing its combat capabilities, giving rise to two new modes: Burst Mode and Rising Mode.
However, due to circumstances unknown, but the IXA and Kiva projects were suspended and placed for termination. It was due to the quick action of project leader Otoya Kurenai that the IXA was secured and given to one of his co-workers, who bequeathed it to his daughter Masami in MC 0050.
In its hidden form, it was a simple bracelet that was worn. When Set-up, it takes on the form of the IXA Knuckle, which was found to be a safety precaution early into its research. To access the barrier jacket, the user must press the Knuckle into oneself, preferable the palm of the hand as to confirm the DNA of the user. Once confirmation is attained, the Knuckle will form the belt, which then the Knuckle is locked into the buckle to stand-up the jacket.
