(just sub in Hitagi and Koyomi for Horo and Lawrence) I guess shows like this live or die in regards to engaging the viewer with dialogue and Shinbo's trying to keep things interesting for people who aren't.

I'm very interested in dialogue - good dialogue, and this ep didn't have it for me. I enjoy Spice and Wolf very much, but I think the similarities between the two shows are almost non-existent. Clearaly many viewers disagree with my feelings on that episode, so that's fine - it is what it is. I enjoyed the first two quite a bit so I'm not bailing yet.
