Well, after referring to the flowchart that comes with the english patch, it seems there are two ways to get to Normal End in HF. Originally I went with the first because I (Shirou) had used the last projection in the fight with Dark Saber; from that point on the game continues to Cherry Blossoms Dream epilogue, skipping the scenes with Kirei. That seems to be a plot hole.

You could be right there...perhaps it was meant to be an imperative sentence in english relating to the noun "night". That's sloppy english but eh.
