What did Touya mean when he thought "Yuki wasn't the air anymore"? Does that mean he doesn't need her anymore or did I interpret it wrong? I've kinda got a bad feeling about this....

I'm hoping she gets over it real soon. I don't want the last two episodes seeing Yuki feeling guilty and going emo about it.
EDIT: I didn't know Menou was 25, I thought she was the same age as Touya.
