Not sure where to put this fiction...it's not exactly fan fiction, but heyy, this seems like the right place, so I'll give it a shot.
Prologue – The Winter Sorrow
January 1, 2010. 6:57 PM. Local Park, Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture
“That’s bullshit!!! I won’t accept that reason!” I yelled loudly at the girl standing before me. She merely shrugged, and repeated the statement she had said moments ago. “I am sorry…but I think that you deserve better than me, that’s all.” Her eyes, eyes which had been filled with unconditional love and attentive care for the past year, is now an empty shell of what it once was. Even as I tried to find a remnant of her past self, her eyes were just…freakishly cold. “If that is all…I’ll be taking my leave now.” She said quietly, her voice barely a whisper, and walked away from me. From everything we had.
I can’t really remember what else happened after that, all I knew was that I ended up sitting in a park bench, staring at the dark winter sky of Tokyo alone. The coldness of winter never really strikes you until you are truly alone, when you feel that you have no one to accompany you through the meaningless days of your life. Then, I felt a sharp blow on the back of my neck. “Urrghh, Kazuhiko, you annoying prick!” I exclaimed loudly as the man in question plopped himself comfortably in the seat beside me.
I shot him a murderous glance, attempting to scare him. Kazuhiko looked at me for a while, a perplexed look on his face. “That glare of yours…it’s not scary, you know, it’s more of the look of a lost puppy whose owner has abandoned his sad ass.” He spoke out nonchalantly.
Son of a bitch, how did he know that.
I gave up trying to intimidate him and looked at the night sky again, sighing loudly in the process. “Natsumi broke up with me today, dude…. And she didn’t even give a decent enough reason.” God, I must’ve sounded pathetic. Kazuhiko merely shrugged in response to my statement. “A lot of fishes in the waters, so when you go fishing be prepared to get a portion of your bait eaten.” He commented. “What the hell does that even mean..?” He sighed exaggeratedly and stood up, posed dramatically and...”Honestly, I have no idea what that means, dude, it’s just some crap I made up on the spot.”..gave a retarded explanation.
I can’t help but smile at his stupidity…with friends like him, how can anyone stay sad? “OH.MY.GOD, A SMILE PEOPLE!!! THE MAN WHO JUST HAD HIS HEART CRUSHED BY THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE HAS JUST SMILED!!! THIS IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF THE STRENGTH OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT!!!” announced Kazuhiko loudly, not unlike a football commentator who had just seen a beautiful goal. “Shut up, you idiot, don’t embarrass me!” I muttered loudly and pulled him back to his seat.
Seriously, this guy is an idiot. Well, at the very least I am not suicidal right now, I suppose.
“Well, it’s all good, dude, I’ll find you a new girlfriend! So what if Natsumi’s a 10? I’ll get you a 12! If that fails, then we’ll get 2 6’s, and if that still doesn’t work, 3 4’s, and if all else fails, we’ll go to Kabukicho and get 12 1’s!” Kazuhiko enthusiastically said. “…Whatever you say, dude” I replied, indifferent. “Geee, you are such a mood killer, you know that…” Kazuhiko muttered, and promptly stood up. “I’ll be off now, the depressive mood here is enough to rape my brain.” I didn’t remember if I gave a response or not, but he was gone soon afterwards though.
I leaned back on the bench and can’t help but start to reminisce about my past memories with her…
