She is keeping her promise to aid Naruto right now. Killing Madara would end the war before it even starts and protect Naruto. While the readers can shake their heads over her chances, she seems pretty confident she can do it.
It will be interesting to compare what Konan does to Madara to Fu and Torune. I don't think I would be out of line thinking they were each around Yamato's level. Konan is much higher up on the character food chain than those two minor tertiary characters. They were able to at least get a hit in. But ultimately were minor nuisances and discarded like trash.
