The story starts with an attack by the "unknown" enemy from vol 5 epilogue to US army's base. The one that attack is known to us currently with the code M, and her boss is called Squall(or Scholl, not sure about the spelling). She's using her personal IS, "Silent Zephyr" to attack America's base in order to retrieve the Silver Gospel. She almost succeed, if not because of timely intervention from Natasha Failz(the Silver Gospel's previous pilot) and Elly Collin(again, not sure about the name spelling), the America's representative, using her personal IS, Fang Quake.In the end, although almost defeated by Elly, M manage to escape by exploding her shield bit to buy time.

The story's focus change to Ichika and his girls. They're talking about Ichika's birthday that's coming soon and Ichika invite them to his house to celebrate the birthday with his friend from middle school. It also talk about the upcoming battle race "Cannon ball race" and how everyone's IS is gonna be tuned for high speed movement for the race. Ichika also thinks in monologue about the mysterious group Phantom Task(M and Squall's group, also the girl that try to take Ichika's IS also belong here). The rest is just the usual love comedy stuff about how the girl decide to enroll in the club because of the event in vol 5, and Ichika talking about New Year and hatsumoude and accidentally talks about the Summer Holiday where Houki and him spend together in the shrine that belong to Houki's relative(part of vol 4, and Houki almost confess at that time) and it ends with the usual hellish interrogation

That concludes the part I manage to read before going to bed. Feel free to ask if there's some unclear part or any part that you want to know about. I'll try to answer it tomorrow XD

Rin's mood is sky high while preparing to go shopping with Ichika. Unfortunately for her, just as she was about to depart, Yan Lei Lei, China's representative candidate's supervisor, visit her to deliver Shen Long's high speed equipment named Feng and supervise in the tuning. Rin tried to postpone the tuning since she doesn't want to miss the "date" with Ichika, but one sarcastic word from Yan is enough to make her change her mind and send a very short message to Ichika in order to cancel the plan(it seems she's afraid of Yan very much XD)

Next scene, Charlotte arrives 45 minute earlier in the meeting spot for the date with Ichika. Some goons try to hit on her, but she easily dispatch one of them, and Ichika arrives just in time to dispatch the other two while protecting her(like a shining knight on a white horse in Charlotte's opinion, although she actually doesn't need protection). Ichika then tell her that Rin's not coming because of an emergency situation so Chal become really flustered, flustered enough to invite Ichika to visit a lingerie shop(she doesn't know what shop she's pointing at when inviting Ichika actually :P).

Unfortunately(for Chal, fortunate for Ran), Ichika spot Ran coming out of the lingerie store and call her. After being introduced to Chal(and thinking how tough her competition is from meeting Rin, Chal, and Houki), Ichika ask her to come along doing the shopping. He also give Ran a ticket to watch the "Cannonball First" since Ran want to apply to IS academy next year.

Continuing from last time, Ran join Ichika and Chal for choosing a wristwatch as Chal's birthday present to Ichika. They spent sometime in the watch shop(how do you call a shop that sell watch? XD) since Ichika can't choose which wristwatch he want. He thinks that he doesn't need wristwatch since he usually use his phone when he want to check the time. Ichika ends up asking Chal to pick for him, and Chal ask Ran to help her choose the wristwatch for Ichika. In the end, the settle on a silver wristwatch since it suits Ichika's Byaku Shiki gauntlet.

After getting the wristwatch, they decide to have a lunch at an open cafe nearby since it's noon already. Ichika decides on a menu quickly for the 3 of them, a crab-cream spaghetti and pear tart set combo, and somehow the two girl are impressed with his decisiveness in choosing menu(which I don't understand at all, he doesn't even ask the two of them if this menu is the one that they one, he just order it straight away before asking for their opinion @_@). While waiting, Ran ask if Ichika is dating Chal, and Ichika denies it. The food comes out just before Ichika going to ask Ran why she's asking that question. While eating the desert, they realize their ice cream have different flavor. Ichika suggest that they try each other's ice cream and the girl get flustered for indirect kissing Ichika.

After the lunch, they hang around for a while, then Ichika and Chal take Ran home before returning to IS academy. Chal gets pretty nervous(again) during their way home to IS academy and can't find a good topic to talk. Before they can start a conversation, they Ichika spot Houki and call her. Houki asks where are they from, and Ichika said they were just coming back from shopping. Ichika promise to ask Houki if she want to come next time he's go shopping with somebody else. The chapter ends with Ichika ask them for dinner together at the dorm.

Gonna start chapter 3 probably around weekend.

We start the chapter being trust suddenly into a heated battle, not using IS, but a tennis match :P. "Ichika borrowing" plan by Tatenashi is finally executed, and Tennis club have the luck to borrow him first. It turns out Cecilia has been bragging about how good Ichika's massage is and the club members decide to do a tournament to get the right of being massaged by Ichika. In the end, Cecilia wins the tournament. After the match, Ichika wipe Cecilia's face by her request since she's too tired to do that(an excuse IMO :P). Seeing that, the other club members also wants to be wiped by Ichika, but not on that face. They want him to wipe their back at the changing room(the club member said it's okay since they're wearing sports bra :P), but our shy protagonist run from that by saying that it's not in the contract.

At night, Cecilia is happily choosing which underwear to use before being massaged by Ichika. She remember Chelsea's advice that wearing an underwear that is too gaudy will give the opposite result(i.e drive the boy away). She even thought about not wearing any underwear at all, but decide against it. After spending around 30 minutes choosing what to wear, she goes to Ichika's room to get massaged. They talk while Ichika's massaging her. and she told him that she do modeling as part of the representative candidate job. Halfway through the massage, Ichika starts to become bold and ask to touch Cecilia's hair by whispering direct to her ear. Even bolder, he ask if he can touch it directly(the novel doesn't explicitly state this due to the Japanese language doesn't have to put an object on a sentence, but it's heavily implied that it's Cecilia chest). But suddenly, Ichika can even answer Cecilia's question that she only thought in her mind, and Chelsea, who's supposed to be in England starts to appear. It's by this point that Cecilia realize that she's dreaming it all.

Cecilia wake up from the dream, but her head is still fuzzy when she tries to remember from which part does the dream start. She notice Ichika sleeping on the other bed, and she realize that she falls asleep in the middle of the massage. She then declare in her mind that she will make Ichika fall for her for sure(while making a gun gesture using his hand and said "Bang")

The next morning, Rin and Charlotte saw Cecilia come out of Ichika's room using a pajama. Cecilia even add fuel into the fire by answering ambiguously when Rin and Chal ask what did they do in Ichika's room. Ichika quickly calm the situation though by saying that Cecilia fall asleep in his room while he's doing a massage for her, which in turn upset Ichika. Rin and Chal quickly understand the situation, but not Houki and Laura. They get really mad about this and Laura starts to say that this night she's the one that gonna be sleeping in his room. The other starts to say the same too, but Chifuyu starts to get mad at the commotion they're making and give a punishment for Cecilia and Ichika.

I'll finish the summary tomorrow since this seems like a good place to stop for now ^^.

The training for Cannonball First begin. Ichika and Cecilia are asked to demonstrate ultrasonic maneuver for the class. Ichika doesn't know how to activate ultrasonic vision, lucky for him, Cecilia told him through private channel how to activate it. When the demonstration begin, as expected Cecilia is better at the maneuver and Ichika get left behind, but after a while, Ichika manage to catch up to her before the demonstration begin.

After the demonstration is finished, Yamada-sensei praise Ichika for being able to do the maneuver that well even though that was his first time. Ichika get distracted by Yamada-sensei's bust and Laura notice this and asks "So you actually like big breast better?"(Laura's is considered small for them) and get mad and turn his head away using her AIC system when he press further why she ask that. The training start, and the training-IS user starts to train in earnest to try to impress Chifuyu. Yamada-sensei also equip her personal IS to instruct the student, but her undersized suit make her big bust standing out even more. Chifuyu then scold Ichika and tells him to meet Houki to discuss about the energy distribution setting since both their IS is the type that's doesn't get any add-on for the match. For the record, Ichika and Houki are on the no add-on group. Cecilia and Rin are on the additional package installation group, Laura and Charlotte are on the additional thruster group. While talking with Houki, Ichika finds out Houki also have problem with energy distribution of her IS since she hasn't mastered her One-off ability yet, and Akatsubasa doesn't have enough power to activate all the thruster in its body to achieve supersonic speed without using the One-off Ability(Byaku Shiki on the other hand is installed with a specialized high speed big thruster on its back which take less power than Akatsubasa normal thruster on its back and wing). Ichika noted that Tabane seems to develop Akatsubasa with its One-off ability as the basis so the only way to use Akatsubasa effectively is by mastering it. Ichika suggest only using Akatsubasa's wing thruster or back thruster(Aka Tsubasa need both of them to reach maximum speed), but Houki noted that she can't win the race with only using one thruster. When asked by Houki how will Ichika handle the energy distribution in Byaku Shiki, Ichika answer that he will seal Yukihira and focus all the energy to his thruster. "Then how will you deal with enemy's attack?" ask Houki. Ichika answer he will just evade them. "Then how about when you want to do the attack?" add Houki. Ichika answer that he will just ram his IS into the enemy. It's very Ichika-like said Houki.

After that, Ichika left Houki since Houki wants to think alone how to deal with the energy distribution. Ichika than meets with Laura and Charlotte, who are busy tuning their IS to accommodate the additional thruster. Both Laura and Charlotte than offer Ichika to link with their vision during the test run so Ichika can learn about piloting in supersonic speed. Ichika learns how the turning technique in supersonic speed from this linking experience and thank Charlotte and Laura.

After that, Ichika starts to tune his own IS. Yamada-sensei notice this and approach him. She asks if Ichika wants to do a training match with him and Ichika agrees to it. During the match, Ichika can match Yamada-sensei speed wise(she's using the same IS type as Charlotte, but the basic one, not customized like Charlotte's), but Ichika get careless and cannot evade Yamada-sensei's grenade attack and he stray out of the race course(which means he lose in if it happens in the real race). Ichika then starts to re-tune his IS after parting with Yamada-sensei(and thinking that Yamada-sensei is very skilled as expected of a former Japan representative candidate student.

At night, Ichika, tired after getting a spartan training from Laura, is invited by her to dinner. Ichika notice Laura is using a cute clothes and comments that she looks like an ojou-sama. Laura starts to get very embarrassed and throw a fit(which actually hurt since she's an ex-army) at Ichika. To stop this, Ichika grab Laura and hold her in princess cradle(T/N : the gesture where a groom take a bride in his arm, how do you call this in English again? Please tell me the right word so I can edit this) while walking to the cafetaria. The other students in the cafetaria notice this and start to ask Ichika to do the same for them too. Of course, Ichika reject the request by saying he's not giving that kind of service. Both of them then start ordering their food, but Laura hold back when she wants to order choco pudding. Ichika comments that since Laura is light, wouldn't order a choco pudding will be fine?. They ends the dinner with Laura issuing a challenge to Ichika by saying she won't lose in tomorrow's Cannonball First.

There's still a little part of chapter 3 about the match, but I think I'll stop here for today. I'll try to finish up tomorrow =P

The day of Cannonball First has arrived. The 2nd year gonna have the race first, followed by 1st years personal IS user race. After that it will be the training IS user, and the event will be closed by exhibition race by 3rd year. Ichika is looking at the crowd searching for Ran when Houki found him. Houki was asked by Chifuyu to take Ichika to the preparation place and pull his ear since Ichika still keeps looking for Ran in the crowd after Houki calls him.

Ran is looking for her seat when she bump into a blond girl. The girl helps Ran gets up and apologize, but Ran somehow notice the shining golden earring that she wears(The girl she bumps into is actually Scholl, Phantom Task Leader). She also notice Scholl's busty figure, and says that she's still growing so it' normal XD.

The race is starting, and it seems Rin's IS have the advantage spec-wise, but Houki competitively said that spec is not everything in a race. Laura is also fired up, while Chal, being the onee-san character that she is, is cheering for everyone to do well.

The race started, and Cecilia go past Ichika during the first corner. Rin catch up immediately and attack Cecilia, using the time Cecilia used to dodge Rin's attack to get past him. Laura use this chance to overtake both of them. Meanwhile, Ichika is overtaken by Charlotte this time, but when Houki tries to overtake him by shooting with her weapon, Ichika deflect it with Setsura. Meanwhile, Rin and Cecilia's battle in the front is also heating up, but suddenly, Silent Zephyr comes and shoot both Laura and Charlotte down.

That's the end of chapter 3. Chapter 4 will cover the battle and Ichika's birthday. Hopefully I can finish those this weekend.

Continuing last chapter, the fight against Silent Zephyr start. Chal and laura were hit by surprise attack at the end of last chapter so they retire early. The rest of the team tried to team up against M, but Ichika's got cornered from M's attack,before the "fatal" blow comes, Rin manage to shield Ichika from the blow

The scene change into Tatenashi who decide to face Scholl. Scholl decide to use her IS "Mysterious Lady"(the IS name used to be Gustoi Touman Moskwa, not sure about the spelling, but it's the Russian translation of Deep Mist of Moskwa). Although Tatenashi decide to get serious and launch an all out attack, Scholl's IS remains unscathed. Tatenashi turns her Water Veil into a sword and attack using that and her drill like Lance, but Scholl manage to run away by using her Knife and explode it to create a smokescreen. Tatenashi doesn't dare to chase after her because although Tatenashi "could" defeat her in a normal battle, the chance is close to zero if she also has to chase Scholl in a high speed chase. She looks on while Scholl is making her escape and comment that she hasn't show her good side and couldn't tease Ichika lately.

Ichika escape from battle momentarily to recharge his power using Houki's IS skill. Houki still can't use her One off Ability, but Ichika manages to convince her to trust in her ability and she's able to use Kenran Butou to recharge Ichika's energy.

Meanwhile Cecilia take Silent Zephyr alone. She is outskilled, and M manage to destroy her rifle. Cecilia then use a forbidden technique, Blue Tears Full Burst, by firing all her weapon with closed muzzle and shooting into 4 direction while in the process blowing parts of her IS. M still easily able to dodge this attack, and she broke Cecilia's unprotected right hand(since her protective IS suit is blown from her own attack). In that critical time, Cecilia is able to understand how to do "The Flexible" and manage to shoot M using the new skill before her IS fall.

M was about to shoot Cecilia, but at the last moment, just like a typical shounen hero, Ichika arrives in time to slash M's rifle and saves Cecilia(Cecilia could have died if she is shot since she purged part of her IS armor as a last resort so the shutdown system of IS won't work anymore). The Silent Zephyr actually can still fight on, but Squall order M to retreat for reason unknown

Gonna continue with part 2 (Ichika's birthday party) and epilogue tomorrow.

Spoiler for Volume 6 chapter 4 last part and epilogue:

The scene's jump into Ichika's birthday party. The member that attend the party is bigger from the original plan. Aside from her harem, Dan and Ran, and his other male friend, Mitarai Kazuma, all the member of student council also joins, and so is newspaper club president Mayuzumi Kaoruko. His not so big living room is almost not enough for all of them. Because of Silent Zephyr's incident, Chifuyu and Yamada-sensei cannot attend his party, and even Ichika himself have to go through some inspection before being sent home.

Ran's present for Ichika is self-baked birthday cake. Ichika said it was delicious and comments that Ran will become a good wife for sure(such a natural gigolo XD). before the mood gets even better though, Rin butt in and hands Ichika her present, which is self-make Chashu Ramen. It looks like Rin and Ran has been fighting for Ichika attention(without him knowing of course) since their middle school day. When Ichika comments that Rin's ramen also taste good, she said she also is train to be a wife beside doing the representative candidate. Ichika just lightly say "is that so" and Rin get a little upset about that(since she trains to be a wife for Ichika :P)

Ichika then meets with Cecilia(who due to her injury is supposed to rest at the hospital for today, but refuse to because she doesn't want to miss the party). She gives Ichika a tea set as a present, and before she was able to invite Ichika for a tea together, Tatenashi interrupts and hug Ichika from behind, with her big asset pushing on Ichika's back. She also tell Ichika to comfort her broken heart(from losing to Scholl, but Ichika doesn't know that XD). Cecilia is of course upset, but when she hurts her hand trying to separate both of them, Ichika ends up feeding Cecilia cake.

Chal found them out, and Tatenashi take the satisfied Cecilia away to give room to Ichika and Chal. They both talk for a while and Ichika once again thanks Chal for the wristwatch, but after that change the topic about Phantom Task. Of course Chal is a little upset why only to her Ichika talk about something not girlish like that. They finish their talk and Ichika is captivated by her smile. Chal then said Laura wait for him in balcony.

Ichika then meets Laura, and she gives him her assault knife as his birthday present. Laura said something about giving a warrior like Ichika her weapon as a symbol of something(which I don't understand, what does giving another warrior a symbol of? asking for marriage?). And she runs away before Ichika asks what she means by that.

Next is Houki. She gives Ichika a kimono as a birthday present, although Ichika feels that this kimono is a lot more valuable than the hair ribbon Ichika gives as a birthday present to Houki. Houki said it's okay since she like the ribbon, and Ichika comments that he notice she wears the ribbon around 2 times a week, which makes Houki happy. Just as Houki about to ask Ichika for a date, they spot Dan and Utsuho awkwardly try to talk to each other(they met in vol 5 and kinda like each other). Dan and Utsuho ends up exchanging mail address and Houki tells Ichika to leave them alone since it rude to eavesdrop. Ichika accidentally hold Houki's hand when they run away, which of course make Houki happy.


Chapter 4 ends here and the epilogue is next

In the epilogue, Ichika is buying juice for everyone since the juices in his house run out. At first, Chal and the other doesn't want to let the birthday person to do that, but Ichika himself want to buy it for them since he's not doing anything particular at that time.

During the way back, he notices a shadow in front of him. When he clearly see it, what he thought it was his sister, but he realize she's younger than Chifuyu. The woman has the exact same face as Chifuyu during his teens.

"Chifuyu-nee..?" asks Ichika

"No. I am you Orimura Ichika." said the girl, "Thank you for today."

"Could you be Silent Zephyr's..."

"Yea, My name is..... Orimura Madoka"

"In order for me to be myself, I'll take your life.

Then she brings out a handgun that emit a dim light. And then Bang!....


It ends :P
