Entry time! No more procratinati...umm...brainstorming.
Her clothes were tattered and soaked. The once dark blue suspenders she exhibited had almost completely faded to white. Her red blouse had become more crimson in tone, and had become tight from being drenched in rainwater. The auburn hair on her head that once flew majestically through the air was now clinging to her. As it had been raining since the accident, nobody could see that she was crying.
"Daddy...why won't you wake up?"
She had been on the streets, weeping. Weeping for the father who would never awaken. When it hadn't been raining, the skies had been pitch black. No matter how much she nudged her father, there was no response, and no movement. How many had passed by these victims of misfortune? One could say a lot, others would say tons. However, not one person had swayed from their own path. Their first priority was to get out of the rain; ignore the crying girl and her unconscious father.
A hand curled around the girl's shoulder.
"You can't cry, honey."
"You're only 5. You look so beautiful when you're smiling."
The tears wouldn't stop. They fell from her face onto her blouse, which had become stained with her father's blood.
"If you cry, you'll make everyone else sad."
"Daddy!" she sobbed.
"You have to look forward. Even without me, there's always a tomorrow."
There was nothing more that could be said; he had passed on. The traumatized 5 year old held her father tight and remembered his final words. Clenching her fist tightly, she fought back her tears. As the clouds dispersed, the skies stayed dark. She was certainly not happy, and the Sun would never shine again until she was. As the rain slowly stopped, the people stepped towards them to see what had happened.
