In all honesty, you can get away with just reading the spoilers I translate each month... there's really nothing new aside from that. All of the important points are summarized from each chapter.
As for what the Gundams look like... we don't know. 17 chapters in and no appearance as of yet. I doubt we'll get them any time soon. I'm still trying to figure out why we have all of this useless background information being shoved down our throats anyways :/
