In what way does it make sense?
Does this ridiculous lapse even advance the plot or expand on his character in a consistent or meaningful way? Because otherwise, there's no point to it.
EDIT: Well, I see the point that no one thus far has talked about Victoria's heritage like the Thunder Emperors were a big deal, but then ViVid has been shockingly quiet on the importance of where Einhart came from and how she's been living before the others found her. Or how she found out about Vivio and Ixpellia.
