I keep thinking I'm outgrowing anime, and then a show like this comes along and sucks me right back in.
As for how it stands in relation to the original Lupin series, as far as I'm concerned (as someone who enjoyed the original series and all its movies/spin-offs), this is-by far-my favorite, and it's not even done yet.
I'm actually quite glad that Lupin has been largely sidelined. I always enjoyed the Lupin franchise, despite him, not because of him. But, opinions, you know?
Loved episode 7. It's been some years since there was an anime that had this type of verve when it comes to recent history. Heh.
