Nah in terms of character development for that point in time Erica is already developed enough, since Volume 1 she had already said that and followed through it. Much much earlier.

In this volume Erica affirmed her Oath again and gained her reward for being devoted to Godou.

While Yuri gained confidence and full awareness of her own feelings for Godou. Which is quite sweet
