You're not, by any chance, referring to
this translation of the publisher's summary of V13? You actually might just get that.
Though, it's probably in the making ever since he rewrote Alicization, because as early as V9, there have been hints in Kirito's thoughts of his fears that they might eventually face off.
Edit: there's been an update on July 4th that I haven't translated. Having been knocked out by an overnight route march, I can't promise much but I'll get to it asap.
