I have yet to watch why she's doing this, but why would that count her out? She tried to kill Luffy, ok, how many people tried to kill him and are now on friendly terms? Hell, as far as I can recall, Franky once also tried to kill Luffy. This doesn't tell me anything other than Rebecca is a very brave girl.
