China really has been acting like a bully, isn't it?
The problem with acting like an ass, and not actually having any friends around (the whole reason why recent Ukrainia development aside, Russia kept trying to enlarge their buffer zones, and stay friendly with core EU members) is. Let's say one day, the economical conflict escalate, and US decides to put up economical sanctions on China. All these countries that China has managed to piss off with will follow suit: Japan, Korea, the ASEAN, India.
Or wait till they tilt all the way to US and allow the US to set up missile shield programs around China or allow US to keep nuclear arsenal within their countries. They will have to live in fear of mutual destruction. All these at what costs? Some ego pumping and few billion worth of oil?
