Even with the translated content, it should be obvious that, Ikta has a completely opposite belief system because of what happened to his father. But I also suspect, that being forced in the position of the military, he will learn the value of the chain of command. One of the main draws of this series for me is, I really want to know more about the formation of the bond between Ikta and Yatori.

You don't have to have mind of ruler to control country. Look at modern politicians! Do they look like kings/emperors/nobility? Ikta looks good as manager of country on the contrary we see some ambitious kid (princess) that try to show her superiority when it doesn't matter. If I was citizen I'd preffer MC that understand what is he doing.
