That's a dangerous statement. Who exactly gets to say what things are "just wrong"? There should
always be a debate on issues like this. If one side is allowed to make the decision unilaterally, because it's "common sense", even if they have the best of intentions, you'll end up with tyranny.
That said, I'm in favor of tougher laws on illegal immigrants. The ironic thing is, all these mexican groups were protesting making illegal immigration a felony in the US, when it's already a felony in mexico.
