I'm a KyoAni sympathizer to begin with thanks to their early body of work, so this could be the chance for them to show they still got that spark somewhere in there. Plus I've got that feeling they are able to show enough restrain not to break out the oft mentioned homogenizer in this case; stylistically speaking the source material should lie closer to Hyouka's side of the anime spectrum.
