Oh dear, it looks like we'll have to play a duet this time around...
... We? I suppose this means you expect me to do half of this...
Well yes. I can't exactly play both parts, so you're going to have to handle one.
... That doesn't even make sense...
Oh, and you're taking the lead.
... Wait, I thought you would be starting... Whatever...
Spoiler for Chapter 2 Silver Review - (Ghost) Riders in the Sky:
Talk of video games in a helicopter begins this mostly mellow chapter... Funny that Nagisa would be so fond of Touhou, considering there's a girl in that who would probably be fond of "Bebe"...
But their talks of youkai maidens and school idols drew to a close, while the group headed towards something I'm sure all Canadians have... A gigantic igloo...
Of course, the story itself takes a slight detour to focus on a specific idol in her current predicament with a man in gold, as they hover over the Tokyo Tower... I honestly expected to see a certain card-carrying magical girl show up... Still, it seems Gilgamesh doesn't like it, so it may have to be destroyed... Luckily Honoka gets to survive... provided she stays away from the edge of the Vimana, that is...
Back to the main group, as it were, it seems as though the owner of the igloo was Tuxedo Ramen, who quickly gave the four girls some roses before treating one of them to dinner... Nice explanation for the sudden lack of a need for Faerie magic to translate, by the way... Dr. Casey is quite the scientist... Of course, all the scientific knowledge in the world doesn't exactly help when dealing with supernatural forces, as he quickly found out...
On the other hand, it was nice to find out what Madoka has been up to... Lucky girl gets to re-meet 88% of μ's, and in her own home on top of it all... I honestly wonder how the introductions went...
At any rate, it was actually quite fun to see them interacting with the Kaname household, though Madoka's inherent curiousity about Sayaka's current location could potentially prove problematic...
As we return to the main group, we find them engaging in some casual banter... I swear, with this group, you could almost forget there's a zombie apocalypse going on... Anyway, I suppose this banter and movie quoting is actually relevant, considering talk of their old companions was brought up...
There was also quite a bit of French before Dr. Casey's situation was brought to light... A situation that was effectively brought to the attention of our main antagonists for the season...
... A nice little breather chapter before the action-packed one my "partner" will be performing soon... Good job, Triple_R...
And with that, my part of this musical number begins. Given the zombies, vampires, and "witches" present, I suppose it's only fair to name this next heading...
Spoiler for Numéro Trois: Monster Mash:
And this graveyard smash begins with a living doll taunting a different musical pair while summoning some Noise to fight. Well, I suppose she tried to do a lot more than just taunt Kona.
Meanwhile in Canada, some slight, friendly teasing of Kyouko was taking place while the situation Dr. Casey had found himself in was being discussed. Man, vampires suck. (insert audience groans here)
Also, I'd just like to reiterate to anyone reading this what "Tuxedo R" said, Nagisa is perfectly safe with me. And not just because I'd be eating a Tiro Finale or three if something happened to her.
Still, the unsightly unwavering undead horde the good doctor found himself running from was nothing to joke about. Well, okay, maybe the zombies would be funny if the song that inspired this section's title were playing before they got zombied.
Unfortunately, the vampire part of the situation really was no laughing matter, as it's quite clear garlic isn't actually among their weaknesses. Good thing Sailor Faerie happen to arrive in the nick of time, or that could've been disastrous.
Also, it's nice to see some survivors of this zombie apocalypse who aren't currently fighting against vampires and whatnot. Quite serious, I really liked this little breather.
Thankfully for the Doc, though, Faerie isn't the only savior he'd have, as the Silver Segway Squad arrived... only to have Faerie tossed unceremoniously at Sayaka, who quickly found herself at the mercy of a most Krul vampire... If I didn't know better, I'd swear that part was just because you love the idea of a pink haired girl voiced by Aoi Yuki placing her lips on Sayaka...
Of course, Krul's discovery that her latest meal was an unappetizing (to her) Puella Magi resulted in she and Ferid beating a hasty retreat... but victory celebrations were cut short by quite an impressive mecha. I always wondered what a fight between magical girls and a mecha would be like, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Quite the action-packed chapter you have here! What a blast it was... even if I only got a mention.
Definitely looking forward to the next chapter.
... I don't plan on doing this again, so you had best not waste time in replying...
