The majority of the golems are just labour workers. Male type golems are used for mining and other power jobs. Female type for farming, recon/world map making, maintenance of the island, fishing, etc. I find it rather funny that the cover only shows one maid golem because when he first showcased the island to his friends, they only saw an army of maid golems at first and wondered if Jin was maybe into
that kind of thing (especially since he's always so close to Reiko) and were all relieved when they saw the male type golems when visiting the mines.
Though of course, he does still have an army of golem for combat purposes (divided into army, navy, and air force), but they're solely for defense purposes or cleaning up messes in the world that only he can take care of such as an international terrorist organization or a mastermind that was plotting genocide of all humankind.
