There's a mistake in the anime. When Ninomiya blocked Azuma's ibis, he used 2 concentrated shields in the manga, not 1. 1 layer of concentrated shield is not enough to stop ibis piercing power. It took 2 layers of concentrated shields from someone with massive trion like Ninomiya to stop ibis.
