yeah i do feel this arc will be the arc to make souma finally stop being a "rock brick of shounen "dense" MC and finally understood what his father told to him about "cooking for the person he loves" this guy will be the one to trigger souma to finally feel jelly toward erina but i do also feel which he probably will think whch is just about "his chief pride being hurt rater than his feelings, because this is how ultra dense mc he is and so focused on "cooking" and battle and shoukugeki.
Many times i really doubt if souma will really learn about what his father tried to teach him, because of his hard rock/steel battle shounen mc dense mindset.
If anything this arc must be about he finally start to "learn even if a little about it".
