hm... I wonder if they knew that they would be making another Mai series after HiME. It'd be quite a risk to think about character star system (or whatever it's called) without knowing if HiME is going to be a success or not. I can easly understand Nina's existance in the series as Mai's classmate, but Arika's appearance at the very end of the anime makes me confused. Why did they bother to put her there ?
If Sunrise had an idea of making Otome with Arika as main heroine, I bet they would give us a clue in HiME omakes or something like this >_>
