Profile:
“Friends? Don’t you mean convenience homo-sapien stores?”
Joseth was born in a nomadic family, traveling from places to places, never staying at one place for too long. However, once he was of age, he ran away from his “so-called” boring family that simply travels around, and joined the TSAB. He was noted to have so-so magical talent, ranging around B+ to A, fine for being a trainee of the air-force or even ground. He chose to train at the Ground Forces, and spent several years there, building up the right connections, though being a lone-wolf for most parts before leaving. He took the written test for Enforcers…and due to his intelligence; he scored greatly, but chose to not take the Enforcer physical and mage-test since he’d fail anyway. However, within the testing period, he got himself some connections with several enforcers… Soon after, he jumped over to the Air Force, where he became a StrikerS. He was fairly comfortable there and made a couple of good friends and even more rooted connections as opposed to other units…however, when one of his friend died in an incident that he was mildly involved in, he resigned from the unit and went off to become a trainer instead. However, his rank was low, so he was only capable of specialized solo-training for particular aspects…many students didn’t stand him…but when he got one that was promising, he again was involved in another incident that forced him to shoot an underage teenager with a fake gun to save his student. The incident’s condition was not his to blame, but he took it to his ego and resigned from active field work. He then joined the Infinity Library…but got sacked by Yuuno after 2 weeks since he couldn’t stay for more than an hour to work, and prefer to spend him time reading. However, he and Yuuno became somewhat friends, even if bad-work-relations, so he got himself free passes to come and go as he please in the IL. He then joined the Development Department…but when the A.I system there pissed him off and he actually went and rewrote a part of its personality…he got blacklisted from there within a day.
Things was so bad, TSAB asked him to go the the Belka Church for a while… where he played himself with one Knight’s conscious of family-names, and one A.I’s obsession with calling him Athrun or Alex.
Lastly, he settled himself within the Intelligence Department…since everywhere else had already heard of his legendary “faction-hoppings”… ID almost wanted to think over, but since it doesn’t require too much team-play depending on job-variations, and he was recommended by Yuuno and Acous…he settled right in. It was here where he pretty much applied all his obtained connections to do his work at ease…and spends more time lounging around “former workplaces” than doing his own work, since it’s easy for him.
Personality:
“As if I give a damn.”
TSUNdere.
That sums it up about right. For most parts, he’s a real loner, arrogant to the core, not afraid of voicing out his opinions of others with words like “loser, fuck, dog”, and he gets himself on the edges of most people. Even though he’s not a great mage by standards, he’s generally accepted to be very smart, a great team coordinator, and a real-part-time money machine, getting 10 times more out of his connections than his annual pay.
However, with those semi-friends, he comes across much the same, though it’s more obvious that he doesn’t really mean all the bad words he spews out. He’s more enforced around making people learn their own mistakes through their own experiences, and that’s why he comes across as being selfish or cold, because he looks down on people who are blind to themselves or can’t help themselves.
One thing he doesn’t have for real is pity or empathy. If people screws up, it’s his/her fault, no one else’s and playing the pity game are for losers. During the time of Nanoha’s incident, he never once visited her during her bed-ridden periods; only once she could start to walk a little did he actually come. And that was just once, with nothing but derogatory words. Nanoha understood the underplayed meaning behind it though.
Relationships:
“It’s simple. It’s either I know you, or you’re a dog in my eyes.”
He’s everywhere, and nowhere. He knows a lot of people of position, sometimes enough to even make demands, but in his opinion, he dislikes being too friendly with people, and therefore is never really “in-group” with any of them, be it RF6, the Church, or anywhere. The one exception was where he was the StrikerS coordinator in the Air Force, where he genuinely had several friends, but he considered that his weak flaws.
Despite that, he’s always ready to help a friend, be it lousy-friends or semi-good ones, if they need him to. He just doesn’t believe in Nanoha or Hayate’s kind of friendship.
Device:
Gantz Guns
His device, the X-Y-Z Shoot System is essentially a tri-form gun with an modified card-slot system, where he slots in disposable cards that allow him to boost up the gun’s attack and casting time speed. The X form is the basic weapon form, in the form of a regular attack gun. The Y form is it’s long-range rifle mode, where he snipes from a distance. The Y form actually came in much later in his life, somewhere after he transferred away from the Air Force, as a restrainer gun that is not lethal in any sense, be it in physical damage or magical damage, as it converts the energy output into some form of restrain system.
It supposingly has an X-Y-Z combined form…but no one’s ever seen him use it, and no one thinks he’ll ever, now that he’s half-retired.
Barrier Jacket: White thick trench coat with black underclothes and straps around the arm and leg.
Fighting Style: Power Support Shooter and Center Coordinator. Rather than using multiple shots with various styles, he opted for precise power interception shots. However, such shots take longer casting time, and therefore, he chooses to use a gun with a card-slot system where he can slot in disposable magic cards to boost up his attack speed and strength. He’s much like Teana, only preferring stronger shots.
