My top 5 anime is a decent variety, all having good and bad points but all extremely enertaining.
[LIST=1][*]Naruto Shippuuden[*]Yu Yu hakusho[*]Desert Punk[*]Akira[*]Paranoia Agent

All of these were great anime and i still watch all these to this day. My friends wouldnt agree with my number 1 choice, but i dont see how, its extremely enertaining, it has drama, it has action, and it has a story and a battle style that you dont see in other animes, IE. dragonball z, it was the same shit over and over, i like it and i still watch it also, but repetitivness doesnt quite make my top 5.
