I'm wont say TEPCO isn't to be commended for looking out for its employees... but they are the experts who run the plant daily.
If they abandon the plant who will fill in immediately and how will they be brought up to speed on what can be done and what can't be done ?
I don't fully understand TEPCO's rational for suggesting they be allowed to evacuate their workers.
If they don't do it another team of people will but that team won't know the ins and outs of the plant.
It would be unfair and dangerous from a logical perspective.
But, whats uglier is the potential disaster they would face and just think of the general idea the would have conveyed to the public.
