You can use the forum and the notes in the translation patch to pick up enough of it so that you'll understand the question arcs, but there's a 99% chance that something will be missed. As the answer arcs are released, info on the riddle's answer is supposed to come out bit by bit, so the translation notes will (hopefully) be updated to be more and more helpful.
