The X factor remains the Tea Party though; by all logic they will lose influence greatly as their methods have proven to be ineffective and detrimental to the republicans party. However, since logic doesn't seem to apply to tea party they might double down and become even more extreme, but I highly doubt it.

The GOP better shape up after harming the nation and it's economic recovery for four years, all for the sake of making Obama fail at re-election. Think of it, their harmful plan failed, their "suicide bombing" of America has failed.
