In the first episode when the cotton balls appear you can clearly hear them say "Das sind mir unbekannte Blumen" (they are flowers not known to me). They also say "schneiden" (to cut) a lot.

So it's German... interesting. The "let's bring our queen flowers" phrase reminds me of "Alice in Wonderland".
