While the MBTI is not unknown in Japan, and due to Jung's fame among Japanese writers me not being surprised if it did turn up, I doubt if this was actually an inspiration.
I do have to wonder how the MBTI suddenly got so much attention on the internet anyway, considering that it's a model that has been severely criticized and severely shows its age.
On two matters more related to the content of the series, thanks to jjblue I got at least some scans of the chapters currently only released in magazine form, until I get my copies of the GanGan-Joker from October to December.
First of, two pages I was unsure what they meant when trying to decipher the Chinese scans of chapter 20.
Spoiler for Further EP5 solution from the manga:
Battler comments on EP5 and says that it is the game where the Game Master Lambdadelta made the culprit do things that were "not impossible but simply wouldn't be commited". That was, first and foremost, bribing Battler.
He goes on to explain these things that the culprit "could do but would not". Since Beato's goal was to make Battler solve her riddle, "bribing him and making him an accomplice" was never among her choices. This makes it a game where both goal and opponent where not existent from the beginning, and is why Ronove described EP5 as "lacking love" and a game "without honor."
Since the opponent of the duel had been made a pawn, there was no need for a letter of the witch asking for the epitaph to be solved. So it didn't come.
Since not her plan as the witch, but as the culprit had gotten priority, the killings would continue even though the epitaph was solved.
Instead the plan to get revenge against Natsuhi and to murder the whole family could be accomplished in complete indifference.
Still, it would be clearly impossible to bribe Battler into backstabbing Natsuhi so easily, since he has not interest in money. But it would be easy to think of a trade agreement between the culprit and the parents about making Battler pretend to be the mastermind in a cooperative plan to stage fake murders in order to uncover Natsuhi's plot to conceal Kinzo's death.
And actually the whole thing between Erika and Battler goes further, with more Red and Blue apparently:
The person doing the phone call to Natsuhi in the morning of the 5th, in the 5th game, was not Battler
A threatening call was made, of course, but the person calling was neither Kinzo, Krauss, Natsuhi, Eva, Hideyoshi, Rudolph, Kyrie, Rosa, Jessica, George, Battler, Maria, Nanjo, Genji, Shannon, Kanon, Kumasawa, nor Gohda; non of the 18 above
Of course it was also not Furudo Erika!
Erika counters that it must be the same as with Nanjo's murder then.
The phone call was carried out neither by the 18 people, no, neither the 18 names Battler gave, nor by myself, Erika, but by the human culprit!! (in Japanese the counter for people can also be "name" 名, so Erika says: 「あんたが挙げた18名ええ18”名”!!でもなく」)
And this is the very true culprit who uses the "multiple names trick" to put on the guise of the witch's actions!
And within these games, given as characters, on this island, being able to carry a multitude of HUMAN names...
And sadly this is where I have to wait for my copies...
But also to return to the question of what was hinted before it's reveal and what not. I reread EP5 and 6 as manga as well, and I can't check if this was in the VN, but something sprung out to me.
When Chick-Beato complains about the love duel Elder Beato, Zepar, and Furfur give her an explanation and it goes like this:
Furfur:
Does the social status of two lovers really not matter at all?!
For example, does a man who already has a wife have the right to love another woman?
Elder-Beato:
Of course not!
If he loves two, then his feelings do not mount up to a whole feeling for one.
A man like this has no right towards love.
Furfur:
Furthermore, hear us out!!
Can you allow love to a married man!?
Can you allow love to a married woman!?
Falling in love with ones parent!?
Can you possibly allow falling in love with ones child!?
You see? There is a multitude of people or social positions that do not have the right to love another!
I think this example should clear up whether it is intended that Yasu was born out of incest or not...
