For transparency you will need to save the image as a
GIF or
PNG. There seems to be some problems with IE displaying
PNG correctly tho. The transparent areas shows up as a funky blue. Anyways, just delete the areas you want to be transparent in Photoshop or ImageReadyand save it in the above 2 formats.
