IIRC That dragon is a rare species of dragon, the adult form of that dragon have a similar power to Rito, and can cancel out magic. The reason why it possess Rito isnt quite explained yet, but it might have something to do with Rito's power (?) Apparently possessing other people it's common among that species for protection, just like parasites
