I'm sure the destroyer will be attracted to Priscilla, but not deliberately in this case. I can see Helen throwing one of the poles towards a fleeing Deneve carrying Clare, and Deneve cutting the pole into half. The exposed halfs then shot out mini-poles to impale Priscilla. The distraction seems to be successful for now. From what I can see, Clare's "non-awakening" is thanks to a part of Jean.
