Considering the situation, and what she may have in mind when she comes back, I don't even think she gives a flying flip anymore what they think! She even cut her hair, almost as if to differentiate herself against what she was and what she is, and what she intends to be. As I said before, I have a great desktop that seems to have been done by the manga-ka, and it shows Mina in her adult form, clowning around with Akira, with her wearing some nice contemporary clothes, with Akira in full battle wolf form, wearing a dog collar and what looks like a logging chain, as if they were out for just a leisurely stroll. If that was the streets of New York or Tokyo, and I was with them, I would be disappointed if someone DIDN'T try to mug us!
