Exactly, because she 'felt' it was not the best time to wait but all the while never consider the feelings of Alto. This is a trend thats been happening with Ranka's character. She does what she believes to be best for others, but seldom consider their feelings.
Then she had Berera jumped out of nowhere threatening his life and then asking Ranka what her desire was, while Ranka was just standing there. You know, no matter how I look at it, that is just ... a total snafu.
