I guess I can understand your reaction, but mine was exactly opposite. I just watched the show for a second time, with subs this time, and my chest is tight with pain. No "abuse," no "shoehorn," just Art.
Than again, I found
Casshern Sins of little interest -- except for the animation. And I love it when Shinbou goes all Shinbou and the critics rage. How do you feel about Shinbou, whom others criticize in similar terms?
