Well, one of the reason is probably the IS that Tabane made for the golem is far more advanced than the one Ichika and co use technological wise, especially the armor and energy shield part. It's Tabane for God sake, the mad scientist who make 4th gen IS while everyone else in the world can barely catch up with the latest 3rd gen technology.
