While I do agree taking every chance to complain about the anime's bad points is lame, the anime is honestly just not that good when you compare it to the VN. I mean, take the ending of Episode 4 of the VN, compare it to episode 26 of the anime.
When Beatrice asked "Who am I?" In the anime. I was like "Woah, deep."
When Beatrice asked the same question in the VN, I literally peed myself just because of how creepily she set it up. She also used red text to clarify that she was standing in front of Battler, about to kill him.
The VNs tend to make much greater impacts than the anime for the people who play them.
