I'm not sure if it really explode but I think if I remember it right. All of the students their should have die and including styl but when touma beat the crap out of him. It looks like everything went back to normal.

But the methods are different on each. I'm not also sure if Aisa should have been killed by suffocation but who knows. And as for the students they explode or vaporize or turn into light or something but the thing that I'm most sure is styl turning into a star. Also
remember the army that the roman catholic send. I think its the one who chant the gregorian chant or some kind of spell that needs lots of men. In the anime they also didn't show how the hell that sick alchemist murdered them.

I wish for vol 2 to be next turn into manga. Then next vol 4 for the battle of angel vs saint.
