Actually I am starting to guess that Honoka's lack of emotion stems from her being being engineered as a template for the boxhead clones, maybe for the Honoka series.
Maybe she is just matured to her age without growing up and thus becoming so unemotional, but whoever engineered her must have at least a maternal instinct, because SHE JUST LOOKS SO CUTE AND CUDDLY (SQUEEEEEEEE).
I bet that Kagura has got something to do with her creation.
