So, seeing that the DVD episode was out, I was interested to see what we actually missed...
And honestly, I'm thoroughly disappointed. All they did was change the color of the blood back from black to red. If they got rid of some of the flashbacks, it really wasn't important. I think just one blood spurt from Makoto and I think a shot of the dark bag while Sekai was throwing up was all that was missing.
The only time the blood change made any real difference for me physiologically was when they were showing Kotonoha from the cut open Sekai. In the original it was a dark opening, here they were a little bit detailed with the bloody inside...
I'm not really impressed. There was no need to change the blood color and filter it like they did. It made no difference at all.
