There's that too. The loss of an arm would've affected AMBAC performance, and the legs were a bit squashed, which probably did some damage to the thrusters. And the Ghirarga's X-Transmitter bits hit one of the back engines.
And the Normal doesn't seem to have too good a performance in space. That said, he still did pretty damn well for what's only his
third sortie in space.
