The original character is Egate McCleod Higaki. He and his sister (Shion Higaki) will be original characters for the movie. He is on Hyoutei's team (like HELL he looks like a middle schooler...). I think he takes the place of the Hyoutei regular Hiyoshi, so Hiyoshi won't be in the movie.
Egate's profile according to the official site (I'm sorry for my crappy translations, as always @_@):
"He studied abroad in South America after dropping out of Seigaku due to a violence-related incident. He is now Hyoutei's trump card.
His special move is the Hissatsu (certain-kill) Flame Shot, which shoots a strong and destructive ball."

More info is on the "characters" page of the official site. Everyone looks okay except for Atobe, Oshitari, and Gakuto. T_T The Oshitari and Gakuto were the best part of the Hyoutei musical, but these new ones just... bleh. The Oshitari isn't pretty at all, and Gakuto looks absolutely NOTHING like his anime/manga counterpart. Oshitari doesn't look lazy/sexy and Gakuto doesn't look small and whiny and angry and cute... it's wrong. TT_TT
