Also they can install a dual control system to use the VF as a trainer, where the instructor at the back can overide the controls.
I'm surprised Luca doesn't have a copilot, seeing how he has to juggle piloting, managing three X-9 Ghosts, and data collection and analysis in the middle of combat.
