My interpretation of Miharu's drive is similar to yours too, but, my problem with the manga is that there are certain scenes that I'm not able to read without being biased for BL. It's good that you followed the raws without having it lost in translation, so I'd like to ask another interpretation on this issue. (I'm also talking about it with a person reading the Chinese trans.) Take this

The manga does point to that and it's clear Yoite is somehow a catalyst/push/trigger that is essential to Miharu's inner conflict with the Shinrabanshou, but I was trying to find what *precisely* was it about Yoite that made Miharu change his stance on dissppearing, and why Yoite decides he didn't want to die after all. (I think this is shown in volume 8 which I haven't touched yet so on that part, it's up to you to fill in the gaps for me.
