My full review got deleted while I was trying to submit it, so I will just break it down to bullet points, and type it down later.
Pros: Great Animation, Writing, Character Design, and Music.
Cons: 4th arc not long enough to give the ideas in it enough justice, a ending that seems to go against the ideas, and theme of the series, not enough character development for certain characters, the prologue while awesome had not point, and the show kept me from studying.
All in all a great series. I have always thought of GL as the origin story of a tragic hero, with giant robots thrown in. Granted I did receive a different tragic hero than the one I was expecting, but a tragic hero none the less. When people ask me to define super robot shows, I have no problem listing GL along side of such gems as Getter Robo, GaoGaiGar, and Gunbuster. I look forward to buying the DVD's and hope the title is successful for ADV.
