We-suck is not a standard group, I'm sure there are a few other groups that operate a bit different too, but for the most part irc is where things happen. I'm a bit disappointed to see you disagree with me since you likely know how most groups operate. Anyway, usually things are done on irc, if the group has (or is headed by) a dedicated tler, they probably won't end up w/ stalled projects. However, there are many groups trying hard, but the translators they have can't follow through to finish projects (no offense to various tlers since it's usually un-avoidable real life stuff) and finding new tler is really hard.
