This is the episode (for me) where we discover that Kuroneko is, in actuality, a good girl from a working class family who loves her sister, helps with the cooking, and tailors her own stuff. Her "dark angel" personae helps her cope. We've found that Saori is the real "corporate shogunate princess"... and that Kirino is just as drooling-fangrrl as we thought with eroge games.
And, of course, the parallels between the game tsundere and Kirino's real behavior are laid on with a war mace of irony.
(rewatching this and the Zakuro series as I'm having trouble staying focused on this season)
