Try to listen to the OST of "Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto" I loved the scores for the battles and the ED song. Its easily one of the best soundtracks for 2007. But since it's not included in the poll above, I voted Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann.
